Dispatches is: conversations about getting through the COVID crisis with community care, mutual aid and personal and collective resilience.
We started Dispatches in the tradition of our community organizing ancestors who taught us that we need each other and that we have each other. That we will gather in any way we can. And that even in these unprecedented times, we collectively do have what it takes to meet this moment with creativity, love, and grit.
We are capturing what people are figuring out in real time, what regular people are doing when they put their values into action, what organizers are dreaming and building – the brilliance that is emerging – now so we can bottle it for our future.
We hope that Dispatches will:
- Connect people across distance to constitute a shared understanding of our collective experience in this unprecedented time
- Cross-pollinate ideas, and inspiration around acts of resilience, resistance, and community care.
- Seed and germinate creative collective response and mutual aid efforts.
